The success of a marketing webinar depends on three factors: the quality of its content, the quality of its rich-media delivery and its level of interactivity. The only area where omNovia cannot help you is the content of your presentation!

Use the omNovia Event Registration

The integrated “Event Manager” in “My Account” offers an intuitive solution to create and promote your online events. By inviting your prospects to register for your event and answer custom questions, you will:

  • have complete reporting on registrants and participants and,
  • be able to schedule automated email and Twitter reminders
  • Increase participation

Display an in-room marketing banner

omNovia rooms are fully customizable in terms of colors and functionality. In the “Room Properties” section of “My Account”, you can set top or side marketing banners for your room. These banners are clickable, which open a separate web browser and can take your attendees to a web site of your choice. During the webinar the presenter(s) may refer to these banners and ask the participants to click the banner to go sign up for a service or purchase a product.

Play a background music or Display a custom message

As attendees enter the room, you want to welcome them and have them feel comfortable from the very beginning. Think of your omNovia room as a physical social environment such as a hotel ballroom where your prospects can become future customers. The customizable background music with or without the eCurtain can be used to play high fidelity music or a looping prerecorded message.

Show the World Map

Using the unique World Map feature in your room, you can show to everyone the location of all participants on a map and prove to them they are not alone and that there is a great level of interest and demand for your webinar. Note that the zoom feature allows you to focus on a specific country or region.

Show live video of presenter(s)

With the goal of making your presentation more personal we suggest you take advantage of your room's live video capability and have your presenter(s) greet your participants with a video message. After the initial greeting, you might want to switch off your webcam if you wish your participants to focus on your slide show or other presentation material.

Show marketing videos

The Movie Player function of the omNovia Web Conference enables you to show movies of any length to your audience. Think of your omNovia webinar as a TV Show! Some of omNovia customers start their presentation with a short commercial movie. It could be a funny introduction or maybe a testimonial. The rich-media capabilities in your room can help increase your viewers' interest and remove boredom or other effects of otherwise lengthy and monotonous presentations.

Conduct Live Instant Polls/Surveys

Interactivity is an essential character of a successful webinar. Remember your attendees might be connecting from the office or from home and may get distracted or bored however great the content of your presentation. You need to ask questions and engage them in your “show”. A useful tool is the Instant Poll. You should create your questions and answers (although you may also type them “on the fly”) ahead of time and run a few surveys during your live presentation. Note that the results of the polls become available in the room reports.

Use clickable links in your Slide Show

Using the Slide Show function of your room, you can show Microsoft PowerPoint presentations with animations and transitions. The Slide Show module also enables hyperlinks in your slides. You can, for instance, have a large link on your last slide inviting your attendees to click and go sign-up for a service or purchase a product. To do so, use the hyperlink function of PowerPoint to add a link before you convert into a Slide Show.

Display Room Announcements

Another way to call for an action during your marketing webinar is to post messages as Announcements. Unlike general chat messages that scroll up as new messages are added, the Announcement module enables you to post a colored message on top of the chat. You may also use clickable links in your Announcement messages.

Leverage Shared Folder and Favorite Links

Would you like your attendees to download your brochures or testimonials? Shared Folder and Favorite Links (located on the left side of your room) allow you to place files of all formats or links to web sites of your choice and have them available to your attendees at all times.

Use the in-room Timer

Marketing studies show that giving a sense of urgency can be particularly effective in getting prospects to take an action. The Timer function in your room lets you display a count-down timer. As an example, you may place a temporary discount of 30% on your product if purchased in the “next 10 minutes”. The Timer will display to all the remaining time until the end of the special offer.

Place a relevant end-room URL

Finally when you end the room using the (red) button on the upper right corner, you can take your viewers' browsers to navigate to a web page of your choice. You can set this parameter in the “Room Properties” section of “My Account”. That page could be the “ordering” site and may encourage participants one last time to take the step.
